Article Submission Guidelines

These are the Article Review Guidelines which our partner networks use to evaluate each article:

Each article is manually reviewed for quality by human moderators.

  • This manual review also means that some unpredictable responses can occur at times
  • All reviewers are put through the same training in order to achieve consistent application of these guidelines

When the network receives an article for review, the first thing that they do is read over the article, make sure it reads correctly and is not simply mechanically spun without thought and care.

They want all articles to be unique for each blog or directory, so they view multiple versions of the article to ensure readability and initial uniqueness testing.

The article is broken down by components: title, author name, article body, resource box, keywords and URLs:

Title:

  • Under the title, they are looking to make sure it reads well and each word is capitalized
  • They are looking for titles that are around 60 characters in length, but not more than 100
  • They check the grammar and look for any syntax errors like {} or | or ~ in the title
  • NO URL is allowed in the title, or the article will be declined

Author Name:

  • The author name box is reviewed to see that a person’s name is entered into this field.

  • They do not want to see usernames, company names, obviously fake names or celebrities’ names
  • The author name must be 2 names (first, last) and they both must be capitalized
  • NO URL is allowed in the author name box

Article Body:

  • The article must be 300 words and at least 5 paragraphs or it is declined
  • In addition to the length of the body they also look for spinning syntax errors, relevant links within the content (2 links are allowed in the article as long as they are relevant)
  • There cannot be any sexual content in the article beyond educational or medical content
  • Along with sexual content they also look for gambling themes and the promotion of illegal or unethical practices and decline articles with this type of content. Any article that is pure advertisement (spam) or has no value to the directories because of lack of content is declined
  • They generally reject articles that have more than 3 spelling mistakes
  • The article cannot be keyword loaded, as the article must make sense and be readable by the reviewers

Article Links:

  • URLs must go to related websites and not produce an error
  • You can use two relevant links in the resource box
  • You can use one relevant link in the body of the article. If you elect to not syndicate to our blog network, then you can include two links in the article body.
  • The links must go to different pages or unique site; they cannot all go to the same URL

Keywords/Tags:

  • The keywords and the categories entered should be related to the content of the article, or the article could be rejected
