Dear developers,
In order to find a larger variety of keywords, i sometimes search for 3 or four keywords/phrases and they tend to bring back more new keywords (eg 3*800 keywords - duplicates)
The problem is that i have to go through each different tab to see my results and click analyze keywords which takes a huge amount of time, because most of the keywords appear in all other tabs, plus it is also difficult to do my commerciality analysis
I wish I could merge all the results to one tab.
For instance i might do a search on "dog training" get my 800 kwds barck, then another one on "dog aggression" and so on. then merge all of the results into one big basket, clear out the duplicates automatically, and then move on to analysis, retrieve my golden nugget keywords, and then click analyze again to check for commerciality.
regards,
panos

Thanks for your suggestion, Panos - you've come to the right place, we will be reviewing all suggestions in this forum on a regular basis.
This is a super suggestion!
I jumped on here to request something similar - maybe the same thing worded differently - I think there should be an option to export KW analysis for the whole project, not just 1 KW. ie., if i have 6 KWs for 1 project & want to export them to excel MS wont consolidate them, I have do it manually. It becomes quite time consuming to open multiple windows, export, cut + past, consolidate & sort.
Thanks for listening to us NS!
I have been discussing exactly this with Benn Scott on a support ticket and he suggested I post this as a suggestion here. Rather than creating a new topic, I'll add it here:
In Google AdWords Keyword Tool, I can add many keywords and it will suggest keyword ideas for all of them together. I would like to a similar think with Samurai Keyword Generator. If I have 5 keywords I am interested in and I have to look at them all individually, there are 2 problems: (i) It takes a lot longer, (ii) they are all separate (iii) I end up with duplicates. I know I can add additional keywords manually in the Keyword research section, but then it does not generate new keywords for those.
My example would be for all the following keywords ...
England signed memorabilia
signed England memorabilia
sporting memorabilia
England Football signed memorabilia
signed England shirt
sports memorabilia
signed sports memorabilia
England squad signed shirt
autographed England Memorabilia
etc.
When I put all of these into G.AdW I get a much richer and relevant set of relevant keywords than if I just put in "sports memorabilia" because it also understands that I want "England", "signed", "autographed", etc. When I select "Only show ideas closely related to my search terms" it does a good job.
So I have been doing stage 1 in G.AdW and then adding the resulting list to Samurai "Add Keywords" section of your Keyword Generator. It would be nice to do it all in one place with one tool (which is why I love Market Samurai).
Thanks

I'm really glad you are considering my proposal. marketing samurai is gold.
Looking at all the suggestions we've received so far overall, it seems that improving the range of options we're offering for import and export of data is the #1 area to address! Splitting and combining data from tabs and projects - in both Keyword Research and Rank Tracker - are definitely something we should look into I think.
I also would love this feature.
I've considered moving away from Market Samurai to Long Tail Pro, which enables multiple keyword research; for the moment, the $80 pricetag is keeping me from transfering over to Long Tail Pro, but I might have to make the jump considering the long list of keywords I have to research (hundreds of them...). Researching them one by one is really a pain in the a**, so this feature would be really appreciated !
The idea has a lot of merit. In fact, the lack of this particular feature delayed my decision to choose MS over a "word tracking" competitor who shall remain nameless.
Food for thought; rather than basing a "project" on a particular keyword or phrase, why not start it at a higher, more logical level, namely at a site-level. In this scenario, my project name is my site name. My "seed" KW/phrase becomes my highest-level folder, followed by folders containing relevant golden nuggets which are be used as category "seeds". One more level down and I'm able to store more nuggets that become article "seeds". If MS were able to support this approach, the site-level folder structure would look like this;
Seed KW/phrase ---------------------------> Category KW/Phrases ---------------------------> Article KW/Phrases
(Site Home Title/Copy/Desc) (Category Titles/Copy/Desc's) (Article Titles/Copy/Desc's)
If I were able to work with a project folder structure like this, MS would be even more grand, especially if I were able to access, review, reanalyze and update my results at the article level (maybe category too?) whenever I desired to do so. It sounds, based on previous comments, that this sort of logic flow describes what others are writing about in previous comments and something that would enhance the value of MS over and above all of the fantastic functionality that it already provides.
Thoughts?
Thanks for your consideration,
Bob
Woops, I didn't see your idea, and just posted a new request for the same thing. YES, removing duplicates and processing from 1 list would be a big help.
I think there should be one main tab in a project where I could put my best keywords for futher processing. It's very simple, not confusing, without duplicates. I am using MS and other software and the most useful way to discover, organize and track keywords I have found here: http://goo.gl/YHmY - and all features in only one tab. Please check this software and do something similar because now it is almost impossible to manage big projects.
What I do to get around this issue is to create a new tab called Master list. I copy all of the keywords I want there. If I have a complex set of KW categories or multiple lists I need to keep track of I just name them different. master list, Long tail only, local, whatever I need to keep things organized. This works but of course you have the name of the tab a a keyword in the list. Not a big deal but it would be awesome to be able to check a box indicating that this is a list and not a KW name.
IMHO this is still the best keyword research tool out there. Regardless of the organization issues. Thanks for keeping it awesome.
