Batch processing SEO Competition

A customer named Will wrote in with this idea:

I realise the work the tool goes through would not allow you to run mutiple
SEO Competition analyses at the same time, however I find it in incredibly
time consuming to have to go into all the tabs you have opened, and then
one by one go to SEO Competition, hit Generate, and wait for the tool to do
its thing for each keyword. If you are analysing potentially a hundred or
so keywords this takes a great deal of time.

Would it be possible to build into a future version some functionality
whereby pages that have been opened in tabs, for which you wish to do SEO
Competition analysis, can be selected to run in the background and open one
by one, and run the SEO Competition analysis automatically? At the moment I
need to keep going back and run each page manually, and then once this is
finally done can open the SEO Competition page quickly as it is already
populated, and can conduct my research.

If there was a way to do this in the background it would make an awesome
tool that much better!

Yes i 2nd this, manually updating this is a huge draw back. integrating a de-captcha service should also be done

Hi Adam - you shouldn't see too many CAPTCHAs if you're running with an Adwords account configured - and if you're not, you could be getting a lot of other error messages and instability!

It used to be optional, but more and more people are finding they need to enable Market Samurai to log in before they get reliable keyword research results.  Fortunately, the accounts are free and easy to set up!

If you need any more assistance, just drop us a line at support@noblesamurai.com

Yes I have google adwords acct configured. I get around 1 captcha for every 8-10 SEOC values that I update. When manually clicking "check" for 801 keywords, as i did over the weekend, that results in having to fill out aprox 80-100 captchas

Even if 3rd party de-captcha compatibility isn't integrated, the ability to automatically load all SEOC values until the Captcha is manually entered would still be a major improvement in functionality vs having to manually "check" every keyword. We used to have this ability until google changed its backend on you guys w their captchas as you know.

Hi Adam - I think you must mean SEOTC/SEOUC values, as SEOC values don't require manual checking... actually we recommend you use other values for your preliminary filtering and only retrieve SEOTC/SEOUC values once you've narrowed down your search list to just a few candidates.   You run the risk of being Rate Limited if you check a lot of those values in a series, even doing it manually!  Hope this helps -

Actually, I would pay for a service that instead of me having to sit there every day and rank track my way to boredom, that some server did that automatically every day.  That way I don't have to do it every day.  Then, I just go to market samurai (or even a website if it came to it) and there would be the data, collected same time every day, all the data, I didn't forget one day, and I don't have to sit will rank tracker chunks through all its stuff.

Hi Ian - we are planning to move to more flexible platforms in the future, by which I mean, have more things done server-side which will make the stuff done on the client side less important.  This isn't something that we're going to be able to do in a few weeks or months, but it's the long-term direction our CEO has outlined.  The idea is to free us from reliance on a particular desktop platform, allowing us to offer more flexible products and services.

Meanwhile, checking Rank Tracker periodically sounds like something that would be easy to outsource...?

Thanks for the suggestion, Roman, but I think that would make SEO Competition a lot more confusing!  Having multiple grids on one screen would get pretty crowded... still, if there's a way to do it without making the results impossible to understand, I trust our developers will find it.

HI

This has been a long time coming but you need to address this as its getting annoying doing it manually and i see no reason why you couldn't automate it with a timer to make it go smooth to keep in Google's allowances.

The SEO values which we have to do manually each kw one at a time could easily be addressed by a timed function to complete them over a period of time and allow it so its not a 100% brutal manual process, its 2012 i mean WTF??? not 1987 the technology is easily written for this to be accomplished without so much manual labor effort, unless you are owned by google and this is part of your plan to keep us as slow as possible when researching..

second..

this damn captcha issue could be easily handled by a api call to an existing captcha service... this is again such a required feature i have no idea why you would hold out on us for these two features unless you are seriously trying to stop our productivity with the tool completly.

if thats the plan you have then i bought the wrong kw tool, this was supposed to be to make my research job easier not more manual work constantly.

on a kw list of just over 400 i had to enter in over 68 captchas so far VERY ANOYYING ... and clickin on 400 kw one at a time is clearly the stupidest thing i ever have to do in this day and age.

so i ask when will you bring this application up to par with the standards i find in even the cheapest apps on the market , captchas are handled automatically and not manually. and kw research is a one click processing instead of thousands of manual click processes in a day.

it just escapes me why you wouldnt have solved this so long ago, only thing i could come up with was that you intent to slow us down to a crawl on purpose to keep us shackled to our machines instead of actual other work.

fix this much needed stuff NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude,

Just enter your google adwords account details in, and your captcha problem will magically disappear...
